What we stand for
Housing Dilemmas CIC, is a not-for-profit organisation formed to reach out to individuals who find themselves faced with the threat of losing their homes and those who have unfortunately become homeless.
Our services are free! Therefore we depend on donations to successfully operate.
100% support is given to service-users to ensure that they keep their homes by liaising on their behalf to ensure that the dialogue between them and their landlords/mortgage providers is not broken.
We negotiate payment arrangements that are realistic.
We support service-users to claim Welfare Benefits and when necessary have existing claims reassessed.
Should negotiations fail, we will support you throughout the court process.
We support service-users to find temporary and permanent accommodations and assist them to rebuild their lives again.
We liaise with councils, charities, churches plus other national and local bodies/groups to support individuals and families.
Financial Inclusion and Wellbeing:
We offer a Financial Inclusion service to support our service-users to become financially independent by maximising their household incomes through financial accesses. Our support team work in collaboration with other service providers to enrol our service-users on academic and training courses, apprenticeship, youth and back-to-work programmes.
They will also be supported with job search, work experience, jobs and internship applications.
Service-users are signposted to employment support programmes where they can access support with interviewing skills training and wellbeing programmes.
As advocates we work in collaboration with Registered Social Landlords to implement and run tenancy sustainment programmes as preventative measures to ensure that residents stay on top of their finances.
